Critical Notice: TireorNOT is an AI-powered visual assessment tool. It is NOT a substitute for professional tire inspection by a qualified technician. Always have tires inspected by a professional before making safety decisions.
1. Acceptance
By using TireorNOT, you agree to these Terms.
2. How It Works
TireorNOT is a client-side web application. You provide your own Groq API key. All processing happens between your browser and Groq's API. There is no TireOrNOT server.
3. NOT a Professional Inspection
TireorNOT is NOT a substitute for:
- A professional tire inspection by a qualified technician
- A tread depth measurement with a proper gauge
- An alignment and balance check
- A manufacturer's warranty assessment
- Common sense (if you see cracks, bulges, or exposed cords, replace the tire immediately)
TireOrNOT provides AI-based visual assessment and DOT code decoding. It cannot measure tread depth in 32nds, detect internal belt separation, or replace hands-on professional inspection.
4. No Guarantees
Results may be incomplete or inaccurate due to:
- Poor lighting or camera angle making DOT code unreadable
- Weathered or worn markings on older tires
- AI misreading characters on the sidewall
- Internal tire damage not visible from the outside
- Recall databases not being fully up to date
- Visual condition assessment limitations (cannot measure tread depth)
5. Your API Key
You are responsible for your own Groq API key and its usage.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use TireorNOT for:
- Making safety-critical decisions without professional verification
- Certifying tire safety for commercial or regulatory purposes
- Automated bulk queries or API abuse
- Any purpose that violates applicable laws
7. Limitation of Liability
TireorNOT is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Injuries, accidents, or damage resulting from tire failure
- Decisions made based on tool results
- Incomplete or inaccurate safety assessments
- Missed recalls or defects

Remember
TireOrNOT is a quick scanning tool, not a professional inspection. The DOT date code is black and white, but tread condition requires hands-on assessment. When in doubt, visit a tire shop.
